WHY NOW?
Ed Manzi started UNMUTED after too many conversations that ended before they began.
You know the type. People lowering their voices, afraid to say what they actually think, or worse, repeating someone else’s script.
A Harvard Law graduate and former chief of staff at WebMD, Ed spent years in rooms where decisions were made and almost never debated.
He launched UNMUTED to change that in politics.
Is Unmuted nonpartisan?
Yes. Unmuted does not support any party, candidate, or policy. Participants come from across the political spectrum. The goal is conversation, not persuasion.
This neutrality helps participants feel safe to share honestly without fear of judgment or ideological pressure.
